Our twelfth annual community pantomime - “ Pirates from Atlantis “

Our swashbuckling story (briefly. . .) opens in Atlantis where a wicked Princess is on trial for high treason. When found guilty, she takes her sister hostage and forces their father, the King, to relinquish his throne and surrender the key to Great Neptune's Treasure House to her. There’s mistaken identities, a bumbling Sea Captain and a Dame with ‘ample charms’ who thinks she is on a pleasure cruise!   Action takes place on board ship and in the magical undersea world of Atlantis.   Lots  of comic adventures – including the Dame’s entanglement with a sea monster - before everyone is rescued and peace restored to Atlantis.

Saturday 24 March “ Writers’ Circle “ Starts 7.30pm. Tickets £6

A dark comedy written by Mae Taylor, performed by Up The Pole Theatre Co.

Briefly . . . A Writers' Circle meet with good intention but a dodgy director, a Chelsea socialite and a Swedish novelist share a dark narrative. The milkman delivers more than yoghurts and cream and the hired help has more on his mind than stuffing the chicken. Fiction becomes reality as their stories unfold.  Dark and deadly with a slicing critical edge.  If you are what you write, let's hope the writer has stayed home.

A Comedy performed by One up Productions

The Story: Take one Police Sergeant who aint the sharpest tool in the box, plus a high flying Police Inspector, who isn’t quite as bright as he likes to think he is.   Add a sinister Doctor and two Ladies – both with the same name.   Mix them all up with MURDER AND MYSTERY and what have you got??? An hilarious, fast moving farce with lots of laughs.
